The full moon will occur at 16° in the sign of Cancer, at 6:07pm EST, on 01/06/23. Starting this year with a full moon seems appropriate as Mercury is still spinning backwards in retrograde at this time. No point in rushing into new activities when the universe has other plans for us now. However, when the moon is full there is still opportunity for action, and we can utilize this time for reflection and release before we storm off and conquer our next big dream. With the moon sitting in the exact opposite sign and degree of the sun, a grand illumination of its energy will overshadow the sun (if only for a day or two). This illumination fills us with the influence of the moons transit, and we begin to become heavy with the energy opposite of the sun. Although these two signs have seemingly opposite motives, because they are “sister signs”, they will always connect and balance the scales on very specific views.
